01

Day 1: Delhi to McLeod Ganj by Private Cab

Start your journey early from Delhi. A private cab will be a comfortable option, especially if you're traveling with family or a group. The drive will take approximately 10-12 hours, covering a distance of around 480-500 km.
You'll pass through the scenic highways of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh, offering you beautiful views of the landscape. Ensure your driver takes regular breaks for refreshments.
Arrival in McLeod Ganj:
You should arrive in McLeod Ganj in the evening. Check into your accommodation and freshen up. If you have energy left, take a short walk around the area to get acquainted with the beautiful surroundings.

Day 2: McLeod Ganj Sightseeing & Bhagsu Naag Waterfall

Morning:
After breakfast, you can begin your sightseeing day in McLeod Ganj. Start with a visit to the Namgyal Monastery (also known as the Dalai Lama Temple), which is a peaceful place to soak in Tibetan Buddhist culture and history. Explore the Tsuglagkhang Complex, which includes the temple, museum, and residence of the Dalai Lama.
Mid-Morning:
Head towards Bhagsu Naag Waterfall, which is located just a short distance from the main town.
It’s a 15-20 minute hike from Bhagsu Temple to the waterfall.
The area around the waterfall is scenic, with great spots for photos. You can relax by the waterfall or have a snack at one of the cafes nearby.
Explore Bhagsu Temple or visit Dharamkot if you have the energy. Dharamkot is a quaint little village above McLeod Ganj known for its quiet ambiance and cafes.
Evening:
Relax in the evening, maybe by taking a stroll in McLeod Ganj Market or visiting the Tibetan Museum. Have dinner and prepare for the Triund Trek the next day.

Day 3: Trek to Triund

Early Morning:
fter an early breakfast, pack your essentials (water, snacks, sunscreen, camera, warm clothing) for the trek to Triund. The trek will begin at Gallu Devi Temple, which is around 6 km from McLeod Ganj. You can either take a short cab ride or hike to the temple. Trek to Triund: The 9 km (5.5 miles) trek to Triund takes about 4-6 hours depending on your pace. The path is well-marked and you’ll pass through beautiful forests of deodar, oak, and rhododendron. You'll also enjoy stunning views of the Dhauladhar Range as you ascend. Triund offers incredible panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
Evening:
Enjoy the evening with a cup of tea or hot chocolate while you take in the spectacular sunset. Spend the night at a campsite or guesthouse in Triund. The nights here can be chilly, so make sure to pack enough warm clothing.

Day 4: Depart to Delhi

Early Morning:
Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the Dhauladhar Range. It’s a breathtaking sight that’s well worth the early start. After breakfast, pack up and begin your descent back to Gallu Devi Temple. The descent takes around 3-4 hours. Return to McLeod Ganj.
Depart for Delhi:
Start your return journey to Delhi by private cab. You will likely reach Delhi in the late evening or night, depending on traffic and the number of breaks you take during the journey.
